Fall in the South means leaves are changing, turkeys are getting stuffed and everyone in Alabama is gearing up for the most important event of the year-- the Iron Bowl!
The PTO decided to get in on the Alabama/Auburn rivalry this year with the Iron Bowl Coin Battle. We setup an Alabama and Auburn football player in the lobby to collect coins the week of November 15th.
The kids had a blast "feeding" the players money each day at drop-off and hearing the tally at the end of the day during announcements.
On Friday, PTO volunteers walked up and down the afternoon carpool line asking for donations for one final Hail Mary. Thanks to everyone who opened your windows to us and let us take all your spare change!
After all the coins were tallied, the Iron Bowl Coin Battle brought in a total of $1,869.90, with Alabama fans pulling off a victory!
