The annual Meadow View Elementary Fall Festival will be held on Oct 5th from 5:30-7:30 pm. If you have never attended a Fall Festival at MVES, here are our top 10 things to do at the event!
Strike a Pose
You'll find photo ops scattered all around the Festival, starting with our giant pumpkin haybales flanking the ticket booth line. Be sure to see how tall you are this fall, along with other fun photo booths scattered around the front entrance to the school.
Grab a Bite
Since the Festival will be held during prime dining time, be sure to stop by our food (and drink!) trucks for refreshments. Outside food trucks this year include Pazzo Pizza, DogNation Hot Dogs, Eatability, Gimme Some Sugar (hello, cotton candy!), Kona Ice, Boho Tea Bar, Travelin' Toms Coffee Cart and Good Vibes Nutrition. Come hungry so you can leave happy with all these amazing dining choices.
Take Time to Bounce
Everybody loves an inflatable, so be sure to stop by and get your jump on at the bouncy houses outside of the Kindergarten playground.
Pet a Furry Friend
We are very excited to bring several new attractions to Fall Festival this year, including the McCallum Farms petting zoo! You can pet lots of furry farm animal friends in the carpool lane outside of the gym. Be sure to use the hand sanitizer on your way out!
C'mon Ride the Train
All aboard! Another crowdpleaser this year is sure to be the trackless train ride. Wave at the crowd and yell "Choo Choo!" as you take a spin around the festival on this cute lil' locomotive.
Take a Toss at the Carnival Games
Our teachers have teamed up with Room Parents to bring you fun festival game booths again this year. Take a swing at Pumpkin Putt-Putt and pitch at a witch in the Witch Hat Ring Toss. Test your engineering skills in the Build-a-Chair Challenge. Catch a ghost and go fishing in the Lucky Ducky pond. Carnival games will be located under the front awnings and along the carpool lane, with candy & prizes at every stop!
Get a {Temporary} Tattoo
We are very excited to offer FREE airbrushed tattoos for every child with a wristband this year! Choose from 25 cool designs by Space Air Airbrushing under the awning outside of the Gym doors, or find the temporary tattoo booth near the front entrance. Tattoos are easily removable with alcohol wipes or baby oil.
Shop til you Drop
After all this excitement, head inside to cool off in the Cafeteria. You can visit our vendors and shop at the MVES Market where you'll find unique gifts, clothing, jewelry, bath products and packaged food items to take home. Sign up for a cookie decorating class with Whisk Confections or learn kick like Karate Kid at the Tiger Rock booth. Don't forget to get your hair tinseled before the night ends!
Get a Little Corny
While you're in the cafeteria, be sure to grab a bag of free popcorn provided by Amstar Theaters and served by our wonderful volunteers from THS! Who can resist free movie popcorn??
Slow Down from the Sugar Rush
As you head home when the fun ends at 7:30, remember to drive slowly and watch for children as you exit the parking area. Be sure to brush those teeth before bed to remove the sugar bugs from all the candy you'll consume! Finally, rest easy knowing that Friday is an E-day leading into a four day weekend, so you'll have plenty of time to recoup after you partied hard at this year's Fall Festival!
